Popular The Lake District glamping

Popular glamping locations

There is so much to see and do in the Lake District. Visiting Lake Windermere is a must, whether it’s taking a boat trip or walking along the shore. Grasmere is perfect for a gentle stroll and a stop at a local café, while Keswick has some excellent independent shops including boutique gift shops, art galleries and eateries.

Take in Derwentwater and it’s nearby walking trails and places like Buttermere and Rydal Water provide peaceful views and uncrowded paths.  Some top attractions in The Lakes include National Trust’s Hill Top, Beatrix Potter’s former home, Dove Cottage in Grasmere where William Wordsworth lived, Castlerigg Stone Circle, near Keswick, is one of the oldest stone circles Buttermere is one of the most photographed areas in the region and not forgetting  Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain.

For a stay in a glamping pod try  Thornfield Camping Cabins or  Eden Heights in The Eden Valley on the edge of the lakes and with wood fired hot tub
