The park is located just a short distance from Ambleside and the northern shore of Windermere, England’s largest lake and the very heart of the Lake District. You will be in the perfect location to explore the most beautiful National Park in the country and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Lakes. Our luxury camping pods and safari tents are catered for families, couples and small groups looking to stay in the great outdoors without having to give up the comforts of their home.
LUXURY SAFARI SUITES
Our new Safari Suites include a hot tub on deck! Custom built from heavy duty canvas and wooden beams and divided up into distinct rooms they include a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and an expansive balcony where you’ll feel like you are staying in the heart of nature. Instead of the discomfort of traditional camping, you’re in a luxury honeymoon-style suite set overlooking the stunning Langdales in the centre of the Lake District!
From your balcony hot tub you can enjoy the views and watch the wildlife along the edge of the ancient woodland bordering Skelwith Fold, or take in the wonder of the night sky. When you’re ready to go back inside, you can enjoy the comfortable lounge sofa suite and watch your favourite show on the smart TV. Or you can have the best of both worlds and open up the whole front wall of your Safari Suite to enjoy the vista, transforming your living room into an extension of the great outdoors.

ADVENTURE SAFARI TENTS
Set in a private woodland glade these unique safari tents are fully self-sufficient with a built in deck. Sit out on the comfy furniture for al fresco drinks and dining. You’ll be placed in the lap of nature. Don’t be at all surprised to see deer casually wandering past, or red squirrels chasing each other up and down the trees next to your tent!

Our camping pods are perfect for a romantic glamping break. The romantic “Woodpecker” Pod is situated in a beautiful location on our park and is surrounded by scenic woodland, meaning that you will always be fully immersed in nature.

FAMILY HIDEAWAY GLAMPING PODS
Our Family Hideaway glamping pods include decking providing an opportunity for you to take in all the fabulous wildlife as well as all the modern facilities of home. The whole family can enjoy glamping together in luxury and style, as the Family Hideaways can sleep up to four adults with two double beds. Meanwhile, up to two children can sleep in the single beds in the exciting mezzanine bedroom level! When you fold up the beds for the daytime, you can kick back on the large, relaxing L-shaped sofa and enjoy a family meal around the dining table.

PARK FACILITIES
We are an environmentally responsible park and proud to have some of the best facilities of any caravan park in the Lake District. Our well-stocked shop has all the essentials, alongside local produce and gifts. Younger members of the family will love our recreation field, woodland adventure course and recently revamped children’s playground. There are more than 100 acres of Woodland to explore too – great for Dog walking! We have also increased accessibility to much of the woodland with well over a mile of surfaced paths to allow for wheelchairs and buggys.

Low season is outside school holidays and high/peak season is school hols and bank holiday.
Cottages, greenhouse and all other self catering accommodation can now be let for 1 night in low season, and 2 nights in high season and is now any day arrival.
