Where to Explore on the Lake District
The Lake District is also home to England’s highest peaks such as Scafell Pike. More gentle walks and climbs are available such as Catbells and Langdale Pikes. The Lake District has the deepest lakes and Windermere is the most popular acting as the busy hub to the area. There’s plenty of boutique gift shops, art galleries and eateries to enjoy here too.
Ullswater is known for it’s beauty and is ideal for a good hike or a boat trip. Grasmere and Rydal Water are small and picturesque lakes and here you could also visit Dove Cottage home of William Wordsworth. The kids will love the Pencil Museum at Keswick where they can discover secret World War 2 pencils. Keswick also has some great independent shopping, cafes and galleries. Also don’t miss the popular National Trust’s Hill Top, which was Beatrix Potter’s former home.
What can I expect from Glamping accommodation?
