Popular dog friendly glamping

Where to go with a dog in Snowdonia

The valleys around Betws-y-Coed and Beddgelert for forest walks, the Ogwen Valley for the high ground, and the north Wales coast for beaches within a short drive.

Walking with a dog

There is open access across much of the National Park, but sheep graze widely — keep dogs on a lead near livestock, and be aware that farmers may act to protect their flock.

Dog friendly beaches

Several north Wales beaches allow dogs year-round, and most lift their summer restrictions from October. Worth checking before you travel in July and August.

What to expect from a dog friendly site

Policies vary — some allow one dog, some several, some charge a small nightly fee. Check the individual listing before booking.

After a wet walk

Pods and cabins with heating and hard floors handle a soaked dog far better than canvas. Worth bearing in mind for a Snowdonia autumn.
