Are safari tents good for families?

Yes. Safari tents are larger than most other glamping accommodation, with a sturdy timber frame and thick, warm, waterproof canvas walls. Many are around the size of a small holiday cottage and sleep up to 8, making them well suited to family groups. Cabin beds for kids, a separate living area, and a proper kitchen make longer family stays straightforward.

Are safari tents dog-friendly?

Often, yes. The size of a safari tent, and the space many glampsites offer around them, means dogs are frequently welcome. Some sites even provide extras such as a dog bed or treats. Many safari tent sites are set in the countryside, giving dogs plenty of open space for walks. Always check the individual site listing for their specific dog policy.

What it’s like staying in a safari tent
