Holme Valley Holmfirth Yorkshire
Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park is just a mile from Holmfirth, famous for the BBC series Last of The Summer Wine. Nestled in a corner of the valley on the edge of the Peak District and surrounded by 16 acres of woodland and meadows we are a perfect base for glamping and exploring the outdoors.
We are a family run park of 3 generations and strive to keep our business as green as possible and make the effort to protect our local wildlife and their habitats. We provide a range of glamping options including our cosy cabins, a luxury cabin by the lake, a charming Gingerbread cabin and a fabulous Fern Dome.
WILLOW – Sleeping up to 3
Perfectly placed by the pond ‘Willow’ is situated on the pond edge and sleeps 3 and is perfect for fishing. This glamping cabin has the added luxury of an ensuite shower, toilet and basin.

CAMPING CABINS – Sleeping 5
Situated in the Top Field on the edge of Hagg Wood, our camping cabins include
- 1 Double and 3 Single beds
- Kitchen facilities (2 ring hob and microwave.)
- Plates, cups, cutlery, pans, etc.
- Table and chairs
- Lighting, heating, electricity
- An outdoor deck area with picnic bench
GEODESIC FERN DOME – Sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 children
Sleep beneath the stars in our fabulous geodesic dome! Situated in the Top Field on the edge of Hagg Wood, Fern Dome is a spacious geodesic dome tent with a panoramic window, perfect for enjoying the view. Don’t forget to listen out for the owls at night-time! Fern includes
- 1 x King size bed
- 5ft 4in bunk beds
- Single futon bed which converts from a chair
- Fridge and cooking facilities with a 2 ring hob and microwave
- Plates, cups, cutlery and pans, etc
- Woodburner
- Lighting, small electric heater, electric sockets
Although the dome is fully heated and insulated, it is still a tent structure and therefore may be cooler than our cabins.
GINGERBREAD CABIN – Sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 children
Come and cosy up beside the woodburning stove in our beautiful Gingerbread cabin. Situated in the Top Field on the edge of Hagg Wood, named for its likeness to a gingerbread house, Gingerbread Cabin. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a fun family treat!
The cabin includes
- 1 x King size bed
- 2 x Single futon beds
- Woodburner stove
- Electric heating, lighting and electric sockets
- Fridge, 2 hob rings and microwave
- Plates, cups, cutlery, pans, etc
- Washing up bowl and equipment

BATHROOM FACILTIES
You’ll have access to a separate private family bathroom approximately 100m from the cabin.
IVY POD – Sleeps just 2 and a dog!
Ivy Pod changes locations according to the season! During the summer (Easter to October) it is situated on the riverbank so that guests can enjoy the wildlife and sounds of the River Holme (and maybe even a dip in the water!) During the winter (November to March), the pod’s location will be in the Bottom Field, closer to the facilities.
Ivy Pod includes
- Fixed double bed
- Lighting, heating and electricity
- Kettle, microwave and small fridge
- Outdoor table and chairs and BBQ stand
We do not provide plates, cups and cutlery, etc or washing up equipment in Ivy Pod like we do in the cabins.
PLEASE NOTE AND WHAT TO BRING
Please don’t forget your bedding (pillows, sleeping bags or duvets and sheets), towels and tea towel.
There is no running water to the Camping Cabin, Fern Dome, Gingerbread Cabin and Ivy Pod however you have full use of our washing up areas, toilets and showers. If you would like to add a private family bathroom to your glamping experience, you can arrange this with us on booking. Gingerbread Cabin already has its own allocated bathroom.
Please note that we no longer accept groups of more than 3 families.

HOLMFIRTH AND LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
We are just a mile from Holmfirth where we are spoilt for choice when it comes to independent shops, cafés, restaurants and galleries. This beautiful small town is famous for the BBC series Last of the Summer Wine which was filmed on the caravan park several times during its heyday in the 1990s.
There is always plenty going on, visit Holmfirth Info to find out what our vibrant town has to offer. The Picturedrome in the centre of Holmfirth has well known and famous bands performing regularly. Why not stay an extra night and make it a weekend break?
