We are 3 miles from Crediton, offering a slice of heaven with The Beehive treehouse, wood-fired hot tubs beautiful scenery and plenty of peace and quiet to recharge and reconnect with loved ones. Crediton our local town sits within easy reach of Exmoor, Dartmoor and both the North Devon and South Devon beaches. It’s a perfect place from which to explore our beautiful county.
The Beehive
Sleeping up to 4 (children over 14 only) in 2 kingsize bedrooms, our stunning treehouse provides the perfect romantic retreat and an escape from the demands of everyday life. It’s somewhere to enjoy life’s small and simple pleasures whilst you recharge your batteries. The Beehive sits in one of our livestock fields where you will see our Dorset and Valais Blacknose sheep, English Longhorn cattle, a groups of inquisitive alpacas and goats and some very friendly pigs!
We aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible but also want you to be able to enjoy the luxury and pleasures of a truly perfect holiday. Our power supply for the treehouse is entirely solar and propane gas and we are run on an entirely ‘off-grid’ system. With this you can be as cosy and comfortable as you could ever wish for including the following.
- Your own private kitchen facilities
- Water supply which is brought to you with the aid of a solar pump
- Inside shower and toilet room with carefully sourced toiletries
- Wood burner for those cosy, relaxed evenings
- DVD players (and a variety of films if you wanted to borrow them)
- USB charge points for your phones or tablets
- Full gas cooker with oven and hob
- Fridge with small freezer compartment
On your arrival you will find a welcome basket with all that you need to make a ‘cuppa’ and settle right in. Extras can always be added by arrangement or you can upgrade your basket to one of our 3 larger baskets. The Cream Tea, The Big Breakfast or The Combo Basket*.

There is no wifi or telephone on site (although obviously a multitude of pubs, cafes etc in the surrounding area have access to these if you wanted it).
LOCAL AREA
Crediton town itself is an old market town which now has a lively monthly Farmers Market selling locally sourced products. The high street has the usual shops in addition to independent butchers, bakeries, delicatessen and coffee shops. Crediton also has a swimming pool and sport centre. Within a few miles there are several villages to explore with pubs that serve food, a couple of farm shops and many footpaths. In addition to moor and sea we are well served with a wide variety of attractions and places to visit. These include numerous gardens, historic houses, open farms, National Trust properties, the historic city of Exeter and it’s many attractions to name but a few.
Below are just a handful of ideas and there are many more depending on what type of holiday you have in mind. You might simply choose to leave the car behind and explore the local footpaths and lanes. The choice is yours!

- Tiverton canal with some of the last horse drawn barges in the country
