Head For The Hills Glamping is the perfect base from which to explore South West Wales. Visit majestic castles, picturesque beaches, breathtaking mountains, and vast forests, then come home to a touch of luxury. Meet our alpacas, horses, ponies, goats, pigs, and chickens who help us manage our site in an ecologically beneficial way.
THE SHEPHERDS HUT
Our shepherd’s hut is located at the top of Mynydd Figyn offering stunning views on all sides. To the East you can see Bannau Brycheiniog/Brecon Beacons and the Carmarthen Fans, to the North-West is Brechfa Forest. There is a short (4.5km) circular route around the single-track road, on which you pass Mynydd Figyn Common, a 30 acre patch of common land that is now a wonderful haven for wildlife.
Our locally crafted shepherds hut offers the perfect blend of style, comfort, and rustic charm for a truly relaxing retreat. Watch red kites and buzzards soar overhead and stargaze under the clear night sky, every moment at our hut is an opportunity for tranquillity and reconnection.
Inside, you’ll find spacious open-plan living, sleeping, and cooking area including:

Our wonderful alpacas can usually be found grazing in the paddocks next to the Shepherd’s Hut.
RESCUE ANIMALS
We share our smallholding with lots of rescue animals, including ponies, horses, goats, chickens, sheep, pigs, and dogs.
