Daisy Bank Camp Hebden Bridge West Yorkshire

Daisy Bank Camp is set in the grounds of our family’s permaculture smallholding in West Yorkshire. We are remote but also connected with only ten minutes’ drive from Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall and Todmorden and 30 minutes from Howarth, home of the Brontës.

From our door you can walk the Calderdale and Pennine Ways or cycle the Sustrans National Route 68.  Should you simply want to curl up with a book alongside the butterflies, birds and deer that live alongside us, be our guest. Think of us as your breathing space from everyday life and you won’t go far wrong.

Deep in the moors above Hebden Bridge, alongside the sweet heather and thistle banks, sit our six hand made, timber-clad cabins.  Designed by us, each cabin is named after the birds that fill the air in this precious patch of West Yorkshire, with carefully decorated interiors featuring wallpaper by Hannah Nunn and artwork by Kate Boyce that reflect the birds and the beautiful wilderness they call home.

Our large glass-fronted Cabins, are all fully insulated and open all-year round, ready for you to curl up in and enjoy the views and wildlife from the comfort of your bed.

The cabins capture the spirit of these delightful birds who nest in the pasture just a few metres away from your door. Inside these warm self-contained spaces you will find

  • Double bed
  • Sofa bed
  • Bed linen and towels
  • Hot shower wet room with eco hair, body wash and eco toilet paper
  • Kitchen with induction hob, fridge and oven
  • Blankets and cushions for outdoors
  • Books, magazines and games
  • Plug sockets (no wifi)
  • Digital Blue tooth radio
  • Parking space
  • Teas, fresh coffee, milk and home made cakes

Outside you will find

  • Large private deck with a picnic table

Curlew also has a fully wheelchair accessible with a level wet room and step-free access from the extra-wide car parking space.
Curlew’s deck also has a gate so dogs can be off the lead.

A terrace of ‘tiny houses’, ideal for retiring to after a day exploring the wilds of the Calder Valley and the South Pennines.

In the morning, swing open the half-glazed stable doors and see the sunrise with a fresh cup of Yorkshire tea in hand.

Inside you will find

  • Double sofa bed
  • Bed linen and towels
  • Hot shower wet room with eco hair, body wash and eco toilet paper
  • Micro kitchen (equipped with an induction hob, fridge and combi microwave oven),
  • Stowaway table and chairs
  • Blankets and cushions for outdoors
  • Books, magazines & games
  • Underfloor heating
  • Plug sockets (no wifi)
  • Digital Blue tooth radio
  • Parking space
  • Teas, fresh coffee, milk and home made cakes

Outside you will find

  • Terrace garden and outdoor seating area,  ideal for stargazing when night falls

We have created wild garden spaces that benefit nature on our permaculture site, so you’ll see plants you’d normally weed out in a traditional garden, but the birds & insects love them! You can be sure that you’ll be greeted with a warm Yorkshire welcome here at Daisy Bank Camp and a reet good brew, too!

We love everything West Yorkshire and the Calder Valley and South Pennines have to offer. Walk The Pennine Way, Cycle Calderdale or visit numerous other attractions including

  • Bronte Country including Haworth and the Brontë Parsonage Museum
  • The National Trust Hardcastle Crags
  • Heptonstall with its museum and cobbled streets
  • Hebden Bridge Canalside
  • Historic site of Gibson Mill
  • Jumble Hole Clough
  • Hebden Bridge Little Theatre and Picture House
  • Halifax with its Minster, Town Hall, Industrial Museum and The Yorkshire Gallery

From £84 per night for a Stable Cabin
From £106 per night for a Honeycomb Cabin

Daisy Bank Camp is tranquil, rural place in West Yorkshire for adults over 18 seeking peace and quiet. So, as much as we love children, we don’t cater for them at present.

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome and stay here for free. However, because we have sheep and lambs on site, all dogs must be on a lead and under control at all times unless in the enclosed areas. Dogs are not allowed to be left in the cabins while you are away or allowed on the furniture. So please bring your dog’s bed & blanket with you so they feel at home.
