Astley Vineyard has been making wine since 1971. Our vines are so old they’re listed on the Global Old Vine Registry. We’re a family-run, single-estate vineyard making minimal-intervention wines from six grape varieties, best known for our Kerner.

The Shepherd Hut:
Inside: Cosy bedroom nook with full-size double bed and organic bamboo linen. Fully fitted bathroom with walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Towels included. Kitchenette with two-ring hob and fridge. Toaster. All utensils and basic equipment etc supplied. Log burner for chilly evenings. A chilled bottle of our wine awaits you on arrival.
Outside: patio set outside your hut, a fire pit supplied with wood, BBQ, and seating area overlooking the vineyard towards the Clent Hills. No road noise — just bats, owls, deer, and starry skies.
Your Vineyard Tour Includes:
- Welcome drink and introduction to our vineyard’s history hosted by the owner
- Walk through our beautiful wooded valley to the vines
- Guided vineyard walk introducing our grape varieties
- Winery visit and winemaking talk by our winemaker
- Sit-down tasting of three award-winning wines with local and homemade produce nibbles
