Plum Tree Glamping, Pershore, edge of The Cotswolds
Plum Tree Glamping sits in The Lenches, a cluster of quiet hamlets just outside Pershore in the Vale of Evesham, and it is some of the prettiest glamping in Worcestershire. Maggie’s seven acres are all ancient plum orchard and old woodland, on the cusp of the north Cotswolds, and there is only one place to stay on the whole of it – so the land is effectively yours for the duration. Avalon is a restored 1930s railway goods wagon for two, with its own wood-fired hot tub, a wood burner inside and a firepit under the trees. It is a grown-up, quiet sort of place – deer, badgers, foxes, owls and a resident buzzard, and after dark enough stars to make the hot tub worth staying in.
Accommodation
- Avalon Railway Wagon – a bespoke restored 1930s railway goods wagon, self-contained and sleeping 2 in a handmade double bed. Designed for couples, and equally good for a solo stay.
- Bed – full Egyptian cotton bedding, extra fluffy blankets, cushions and hot water bottles.
- Kitchen – handmade from a fallen ash tree on the site, with a two-ring hob, Belfast sink, fridge, toaster and a radio.
- Bathroom – private en-suite shower room with an electric shower and a modern, no-smell composting toilet.
- Warmth – a wood-burning stove, so the wagon works just as well in winter as in summer.
- Wood-fired hot tub – private to the wagon, with lights and bubbles. It is emptied, refilled and heated so it is ready the moment you arrive.
- Private firepit and picnic table – for cooking, eating outside and stargazing.
- Exclusive use – Avalon is the only accommodation on site, so you are not sharing the orchard, the woodland or the quiet with anyone.
