Harvest Moon Holidays offers glamping by the beach in treehouses and beach cabins just 45 minutes from Edinburgh in Scotland. All our Treehouses and Beach Cabins have wood-burning stoves, en-suite toilets and hot showers. Quietly nestled behind the magnificent Tyninghame Beach, this is the perfect location for a family holiday or romantic getaway. It’s the ideal place for you to relax, get back to nature and explore all of the attractions that East Lothian has to offer.
On site, we also have an honesty shop, BBQ and campfire facilities as well as our chickens, alpacas, lambs and pygmy goats.
TREEHOUSES
Our fabulous Treehouses have been designed exclusively by us to offer our guests the highest degree of space and comfort. Still very much back to nature glamping but with a few handy comforts. A covered walkway leads to the beautiful octagonal living area which is fully kitted out with
- Trademark “Belfast” sink
- Italian log-burning stove, electric induction hobs and all the pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and utensils
- Yacht-style table which drops down to form a bed for extra guests
- Two double bedrooms
- One with an extra single bunk above
- Fridge
- Wi-fi
- Electricity and a few sockets to charge phones
- En-suite WC and hot shower room
OUTSIDE
The amazing raised deck allows guests to take advantage of the breath-taking views to the sea and the famous Bass Rock from the front and to the forest behind. The deck stands 2 meters off the ground with wooden steps to access your accommodation. Below deck are swings and love seat.
BEACH CABINS
Our Beach Cabins are located next to the stunning Tyninghame beach on a wide grassy field with sweeping vistas over the farmlands and sand dunes. Our fabulously spacious, comfortable and luxurious cabins are kitted out to the highest specification including
- En-suite WC and hot showers
- Each cabin sleeps six to eight people in two bedrooms and a cosy “cupboard” bed
- All the pots, pans and crockery you will need
- Wood burning stove with oven compartment
- Gas ring, ideal for faster cooking and the early morning cup of tea
- The Beach Cabins don’t have power but don’t worry we provide lanterns and tea lights for lighting and ice bottles for the cool box for refrigeration and there is a gas ring for cooking and phone charging facilities in each cabin

FACILITIES
Relax and get back to nature with beach walks, rock pooling, woodland walks, sand dune sledging and sea swimming, just a few of the fun activities you can do on the site. Make new friends around our communal bonfire, the big skies are great for star gazing or cook some fresh local produce on our BBQs. We have chickens, alpacas, pygmy goats and lambs in the spring on site so you can collect your eggs in the morning for breakfast. Want to get more involved? No problem, we think it’s great to give kids a bit of responsibility to help feed the animals.
The area is also a site of scientific interest meaning there is a huge variety of bird and animal life. Don’t be surprised to see deer, wild rabbits, hares running around during the day.For any bird watchers there is an abundance of wildfowl, from the heron who lives in the burn, to the pheasants you will see running along the road.
