White House on Wye Group Glamping Ross on Wye
At White House on Wye in Herefordshire you’ll find 6 luxury tipis are tucked away in the apple orchard. Perfect for groups. families and couples the tipis provide ultimate privacy with a cosy interior and outdoor eating and relaxation area, where you can layout breakfast bits of locally sourced produce. Set on a farm with a mile of private River Wye frontage, guests have full access to the river, perfect for paddle boarding, wild swimming and soaking up the tranquil countryside.
Located on the apple orchard, this was the inspiration when we needed to name the tipis. If you come to visit us in spring, you will be able to see the trees in blossom. By autumn the apples are fully formed and ready for harvest. Each tipi has it’s own apple tree to cover you from the sun and rain.
We’ve been trying our hardest to become as ‘green” as we can. You’ll find the roofs of our barns covered in solar panels. The heating for our houses is provided by a bio-mass boiler. Not to mention the acres of woodland and grassland that sequester carbon all year round. We aim to create a glamping experience that is as low-impact as possible, from recycling your waste from the glamping site to sustainably sourcing the wood poles for the tipi.
THE TIPIS
All our tipis are named after cider apples. The tipis are adequately spaced from each other amongst the orchard’s apple trees. Enough to give you privacy, but not too far away if you’re booking as a group.
You will also have a private outdoor eating area to have breakfast, BBQ and marshmallows on the fire. If you are a big group, we also have a communal chill out area in the orchard to share time with your friends or other glampers.
BRAMLEY
He is our cosy and cute tipi, perfect for couple’s getaway and families up to 5 people. It’s the closest to our common areas, has a private garden and a a swing for kids!
RUSSET
He was born in Essex but has travelled the world. With capacity for 5 people. It’s perfect for families and friends.
ROSIE
A West Country girl from Glastonbury with capacity for 5 people. It’s perfect for families and friends.
PORTER
He is a Welshman from Carmarthen with capacity for 5 people. It’s perfect for families and friends.
PIPPIN
He is Rosie’s brother, also born in Glastonbury with capacity for 5 people. It’s perfect for families and friends.
MELROSE
She is our newest tipi, a West Country girl with capacity for 5 people. It’s perfect for families and friends and the one further from the common areas. Perfect for those who want a bit of privacy.
