Glamping Yorkshire

Little Seed Field is a unique glamping site on a working dairy farm, perched on the wild heather moorlands of Nidderdale in Yorkshire. Our site retains the natural wilderness of the landscape with the cabins nestled in amongst trees, boulders and rushes on the edge of our farmland. We have worked hard to ensure that our wild deer, birds of prey and natural flora are disturbed as little as possible.

The glamping site boasts stunning views of the Nidderdale valley. The cabins are secluded and peaceful, interrupted only by the grazing cattle or wild birdsong. By night, a clear sky provides the most amazing view of the starlit sky. Discover the natural beauty and wilderness of the Yorkshire Dales and life off the beaten track.

OUR GLAMPING PODS
We have seven luxury glamping cabins. ‘Woodland Clearing’, ‘Yorkshire Fog’ and ‘Foxtail’ are standard cabins with shared washroom facilities. ‘Bird Cherry’, ‘Meadowsweet’ and ‘Filed Mouse’ are ensuite cabins. ‘Wild Bramble’ is a luxury ensuite with king size bed. Our individually decorated cabins each enjoy a private setting carefully selected to allow you to relax and enjoy the scenery. On the colder, wilder days our insulated cabins are kept toasty warm with log burners allowing you to hunker down, relax and escape.
We provide all bedding required, including down duvets and memory foam pillows. Each cabins sleeps four guests in a double bed and set of bunk beds, apart from ‘Wild Bramble’ which sleeps 3 guests in a king size bed and single pull out.

FACILITIES
Our site is not a landscaped holiday park. Our cabins have been built sympathetically with the undulating landscape. We have created beautiful wildlife observation areas on the site, including ponds and woodland clearings.

The centrally heated amenity building contains wet rooms and a small kitchenette facility. Here you can source water, use the toaster, kettle, fridge and microwave and wash-up your cabin supplies. We also have a covered communal area with seating and a log stove as well as a large fridge.

Car parking is kept a short walk from the cabin site. We provide you with wheelbarrows to transport your luggage along the footpaths to the cabins.

FOOD AND PROVISIONS
There is a pub in our local village (Kirkby Malzeard), where you can also find a small corner shop and butchers who can provide basic supplies. Pateley Bridge is a short drive away and has larger selection of shops, two very well renowned butcher shops (Kendall’s is our favourite) and a fabulous Italian restaurant.

EXTRAS
We are happy to arrange little extras for you including breakfast baskets, BBQ packs, picnic hampers or romantic gestures. All can be pre-arranged upon request.

WHAT WE SUGGEST YOU BRING
Our site can be quite exposed to the elements and is remote so we recommend that our guests bring warm clothing, their wellies and a torch! Our water supply is from a natural spring and as part of our plan to minimise the impact on our environment, we encourage our guests to use our water sparingly and ask guests to bring bottled water with them (there is a fresh water supply provided in the amenity building).

On site there are facilities to make a light breakfast and each cabin has access to a BBQ. We ask that our guests bring their own cool boxes, charcoal, food, drinks and all the other little extras you would take on a camping trip – the closest shop is several miles away so be sure to bring supplies!

Our cabins are designed for indoor footwear only and we ask our guests to leave wellingtons and walking boots in the porch area. Please bring suitable clean footwear for use inside the cabins.
