Glamping Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Northampton Borders
Our wonderful Garden Shepherds Hut is a very special original 1800’s shepherds hut, which makes it totally unique! It actually did have a life as a working shepherds hut before it was renovated down on a farm in Wiltshire. It is situated in an orchard, below the farmhouse. It has fabulous westerly views and incredible sunsets – which it shares with chickens, horses and sheep!
Inside the hut, there is a standard double bed with feather duvet and pillows,an antique settle and even an electric blanket to keep you toasty!
Outside, you have your own orchard area to relax away from our hectic lives – where there is a Barbecue and firepit. The hut has its own private shower and loo just inside the farmhouse.
Guests are given tea and homemade cake upon arrival, and the price also includes either a full English breakfast or a cold breakfast delivered to your door in a basket.
JESTERS SHEPHERDS HUT
This romantic, solar powered shepherds hut has been customised for us and traditionally hand built by wonderful craftsman, using all natural wood. It is situated at the bottom of one of our paddocks, beside a small copse, and offers glamping accommodation. It has fabulous views up the hill, and guests can enjoy the gentle pace of the countryside which can help to relax and recharge our guests, with the sights and sounds of our sheep and the numerous wildlife around.
The hut has a king-sized double bed, with feather duvets and pillow, a woodburner to heat and boil a kettle on, and outside a eco-toilet, and a small shed with glamping cooking facilities! It also has a fire pit which can be used for cooking or warming you up, whilst you sit outside and look at the stars! Showers can be taken in our wonderful, quirky outdoor shower (gas powered) and changing hut beside the hut amongst the trees.
Hill Farm is a traditional mixed family farm, based around the medieval village of Priors Hardwick Priors Hardwick, which is close to the Warwickshire border with Oxon and Northamptonshire.. It is 450 acres with the Oxford Canal cutting through the farm. The farm has been in the family since 1938, and we farm arable crops as well as having a large sheep flock. The farm is on a higher level stewardship scheme so we leave grassland strips around all the arable fields and allow wild flower margins which encourages an abundance of wildlife – hares, pheasants, deer, foxes and more… it’s also wonderful for bird spotting, especially tree sparrows and yellow hammers.
