Enjoy the peaceful haven of the countryside, relax on your veranda surrounded by nature and take in the stunning views of green fields and the nearby coastline. Watch the daily life of a working farm, walk along the brook and through the woodlands and enjoy sightings of buzzards and red kites. Make the most of the dark night skies of West Wales for star gazing. The campsite overlooks the ancient town of Kidwelly with its magnificent medieval castle and church, there is a footpath from the campsite down to the town through the woods. Purchase award winning sausages form the local butcher for the barbeque.

Pembrey Country Park is packed with activities ranging from a 130 meter dry ski slope, the longest toboggan run in Wales, steam train, pitch and putt golf, adventure playground, miles of cycle and horse riding track, picnic areas and seven miles of safe sandy beach which boasts a blue flag.
Other beaches within easy distance are the glorious Gower beaches to the East and Tenby, Saundersfoot and the Pembrokeshire coast to the West.
The National Wetlands Centre run by the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust is home to over 650 of the world’s most spectacular ducks, geese, swans and flamingos.
For castle lovers there are fortresses at Kidwelly, Carreg Cennen, Laugharne (home to Dylan Thomas and the famous boathouse) and Dinefwr where you will also find the 18th century gardens designed by Capability Brown.
There are more beautiful gardens at the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney House and gardens.
Cycle hire is available to cycle along the Millenium Coastal Path and cycle paths from Kidwelly in all directions.
There are Championship links golf courses at Ashburnham and Machynys, parkland courses at Carmarthen and Glyn Abbey. Reduced green fees can be arranged.
Ffos Las, which opened in June 2009, brought top class racing to West Wales and has a high quality racing programme.
The old market town of Carmarthen is 8 miles away and is full of character with plenty of shops, restaurants and entertainment.
Other popular visitor destinations include the adventure park zoo, Folly Farm and the theme park Oakwood, in Pembrokeshire.
