Cwmgwannon Cabin glamping in Brecon Beacons Wales is a wonderfully remote, well equipped, log cabin in the hills above Clyro. Sleeping five people with two bathrooms the cabin has an acre of land to explore. Enjoy the views of the Black Mountains from the terrace or the hot tub. Take walks from the door in the Begwyn Hills. It’s a half hour walk into Clyro, with a pub and shop (longer home up the hill!). Hay on Wye, famed for its annual Literary Festival, hundreds of bookshops, weekly market and numerous cafes and restaurants, is just a couple of miles away.
THE CABIN – Sleeps 5
The cabin is all on one floor with 2 steps to get in The spacious open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room opens up onto the terrace. The kitchen area is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is a scrubbed pine dining table which will seat 6. The sofas in the lounge area surround the big traditional wood-burning stove. There is also a TV with freeview and DVD player. It’s a great space for relaxing by the fire, playing board games.

For a great many of our guests, one visit to Hay-on-Wye just 2 miles away is simply not enough. They enthuse time and again about the year-round energy and ambiance of this charming border ‘town of books’. It’s easy to while away a whole day browsing the miles of shelves in the many second hand bookshops as you seek out a rare first edition, or come face to face with a TV annual you haven’t seen since childhood.
