Glamping Wales

Bills Shepherds Hut is set in a unique and secluded glamping location, at the foot of the Black Mountains in Wales. It has a dramatic 240 degree view from the Black Mountains to the Brecon Beacons, a perfect spot for star gazing. There is meadowland and woodland with the Arboretum in front of, and behind, Bill’s Shepherds Hut which is perfect for just sitting quietly in the shade and reading. The dramatic waterfalls and Bluebell woods at Pwll-y-Wrach are nearby. The hamlet of Llanelieu has a medieval church with 14th Century rood screen, a painted loft and the old village stocks remain outside. It is also the home of Black Mountain Pottery.

The shepherds hut is located between the vibrant market town of Hay-on-Wye 9 miles and the charm of Brecon, 8 miles. The boutique town of Crickhowell is about 10 miles away and Abergavenny, with its Food Festival, Castle and train station, is 20 miles away.

A luxurious and a surprisingly spacious hand built shepherds hut sleeping 2 has a private lake and an arboretum. Free vegetables in season and glorious views too!

The hut includes

  • Kitchen wit electric two ring hob, toaster, microwave and an electric fridge
  • Dining table and chairs
  • Large comfy sofa what will fold down to make a long and comfortable double size bed
  • Shower room, loo and heated towel rail
