Canvas and Stars with glamping at Hale Farm, East Sussex has been named in the Top 30 Places to Stay Under Canvas in the country by The Telegragh. Their Boutique Bell Tent Village is luxururious and family friendly and situated on a small working farm in the beautiful countryside complete with gin bar and chill out tent!

Hale Farm sits in 56 acres of beautifully picturesque countryside, complete with glamping site and farm. The Bell Tent Village which is separate from the farm and campsite, offering 7 acres of tranquillity and 10 stunning fully furnished bell tents.

This luxury glamping experience allows the whole family to enjoy themselves. Children can visit the farm animals and explore the great outdoors, then when they’re tucked up in the comfort of their deluxe bell tent, the adults can gather round the fire and enjoy a glass of something under the stars.

At Canvas and Stars they truly want your experience to be amazing, As well as all your essentials covered such as toilets, hot showers, washing up facilities, hot water to wash your pans, a chill out tent stocked with games, books and bean bags we have a whole lot to offer you for a glamorous glamping experience.

BELL TENTS
The 10 individually named beautiful bell tents sleep up to five people (two adults plus three children or four adults) and include

  • Double bed with luxury bedding
  • Up to three single beds with luxury bedding
  • Bed side tables
  • Rugs
  • Complimentary toiletries, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel
  • Fairy lights
  • Bunting
  • Scavenger hunt for the children

Outside the tent….

  • Fire Pit with grill (​kindling and logs can be supplied at a extra charge)
  • 2 chairs

Please note there is no electricity on site, although the bell tents do have lighting. Relax, unwind and escape from the humdrum 9 to 5 experience, re-connect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors.

          

FACILITIES

CHILL OUT TENT
With bean bags, games and books you’ll find the big communal chill-out tent a great place for children to play and adults to chill out.

TOILET AND SHOWERS
Toilets, hot showers and washing up facilities with hot water are just a small walk away from your bell tent.

POP UP COMMUNAL KITCHEN
Complete with gas hobs, table and chairs, pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses, bowls, cutlery, all cooking utensils and tea towels. Also provided is tea, coffee and sugar, oil and salt and pepper. We also have electricity in the Pop Kitchen for charging phones and freezing ice blocks.

COMMUNAL FIRE PIT
There is a central fire pit area to enjoy with friends with deck chairs surrounding it and blankets to keep you warm.

DRINKING WATER
A fresh drinking water tap is provided on site

MAMA GIN

Most nights a gin van usually pitches up from around 5pm offering a variety of cocktails (not just gin, but other spirits and beer too). All drinks are sourced from local suppliers so well worth a try. No need to pre-book just rock up on the day and see what takes your fancy.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS
Also on offer are breakfast hampers, chilled prosecco, flutes and ice buckets plus marshmallow toasting kits. A log and kindling starter pack can also be purchased.

THE FARM
During your stay you can meet Oreo, Bailey and Tilly our friendly donkeys and pony. See Percy, Penny, Pippa and Poppy some of our rare breed Oxford, Sandy and Black Pigs lying in the sunshine or rooting around in the soil.

Enjoy feeding our free range chickens, geese and resident ducks. Meet Angel and Angelica our Pygmy goats with their adorable kids Frodo, Florence and Bluebell and watch our pedigree flocks of Lleyn and Ryeland sheep grazing across the farm.

The farm area is open daily from 9.00am – 10.30am. Please feel free to visit the farm animals during this time, at your own leisure. Animal feed is also available to purchase for 20p per bag so children can feed the animals.

LOCAL AREA AND THINGS TO DO
Situated along the Weald Way at the head of Cuckmore Valley, this is the perfect location for exploring the South Downs Country Park, The High Weald, and the Sunshine Coast by car, cycling or foot. There are two really good pubs – The Six Bells Inn and The Gun, and there’s a local village shop all in walking distance of the glamping site.

Friday 11th August through to 29th August 2017 (Minimum 2 night stay – please book anytime in this period)
Thursday 7th, ​Friday 8th September, Saturday 9th September and Sunday 10th September 2017

PRICES during peak season are £140 per night for a bell tent for up to four adults or two adults and up to three children.
​No hidden extras for bed linen, furnishings or extra guests, one price per night.
Please note a minimum 2 nights stay and 3 nights on a bank holiday applies

Special offers

Instead of £140 per night, save £30 and stay for £110 per night for a family of five for any Sunday – Thursday bookings in August
