**BORDER GLAMPING WILL OPEN AS SOON AS THE GOVERNMENT ALLOWS THEM TO**
Our glamping cabin in Scotland’s Borders offers you the camping experience with a bit more comfort. This is an exclusive cabin on a farm. We are not a camping site so if you are a couple looking for a romantic getaway this is a perfect break without families in a next door pod. Equally so, as parents, you can relax knowing that your excitable children will not be disturbing others. The cabin is the ideal place to stay for a walking or cycling holiday. Nearby, the Newcastleton 7stanes Trail is one of the famous 7 which proves very popular with varying levels of ability.
A small door at the back of the cabin leads you into a cosy room with a full size double bed with a proper mattress, quality bed linen and a flat screen TV. The glass panels in the roof enable you to lie and admire the fantastic starry skies and then a blackout blind pulls down to ensure that your sleep is not interrupted by the light at dawn.
The main cabin sleeps two and includes
- Woodburning stove
- Flat screen TV
- Small fridge
- Spare socket for charging a phone etc.
- Blackout curtains and blinds help to ensure a good night’s sleep
- FREE WiFi*
OUTSIDE THE CABIN
There is a decking area with table, chairs and a fire-pit. Also a gas BBQ is available to hire.
*Please note the speed of Wifi is not brilliant in this area so please do not expect to be able to download movies (emailing and checking social media should be OK).
SHOWER AND TOILET
Included in your holiday cost and situated approximately 100m from your cabin.
Dogs can be accommodated (we would supply a dog crate) when the occupancy is only 2 but strictly not allowed on beds or sofas.
Clay Pigeon Shooting is available on-site with advance booking necessary
There are many river, forest and hill walks to suit walkers of all abilities. The dis-used Waverley railway line runs through the farm.
CYCLING and MOUNTAIN BIKING
Ideal for a mountain biking or a cycling holiday including The Newcastleton 7stanes Trail is one of or you could ride over to Kielder to join up with the Bloody Bush and Lonesome Pine (red graded trails). We have a washroom for hosing bikes down at the end of the day and also secure storage.
We own a mile of the Liddel Water, with three good pools. Guests are welcome to sit and fish (salmon and sea trout rights excluded) and enjoy the tranquility of Liddlesdale.
What better place to bring your horse for a riding holiday than to the farm that was home to the legendary Lenamore for over 10 years. We have stabling for your horse with 363 acres of private land and miles and miles of forest tracks to ride around whilst enjoy the spectacular view of the Scottish Borders. A near Olympic size all-weather arena is also available for guests to use.
One of the darkest places in the UK, as mapped by Dark Sky Discovery, the cabin has its own glass panels above the bed to view the stars and being near Kielder makes it an ideal location for those visiting Kielder Observatory.
