White House on Wye is a tipi glamping site based in Herefordshire in the heart of the Wye Valley AONB. The tipis live in-between the trees of a cider apple orchard which is based on a working sustainable farm. The river Wye flows for over a mile through the farm, giving guests plenty of on-site scenery to explore. In 2019 they were recognised by The Sunday Times as one of the UK’s top glamping sites.
There are 5 large tipis available. They are spacious and well-decorated with up cycled furniture creating a space that is perfect for families. Each tipi comes fully kitted out and all linen and bedding is provided. The tipis have electricity and heaters. Outside each tipi has it’s own outdoor area with seating and a BBQ/fire-pit that is perfect for roasting marshmallows on late into the evening. The tipis all come with a movie projector for guests to use, this can be cosied up in bed in the tipis or outside under the stars. There are 4x 5 person tipis and 1x 4 person tipi available.
There are shared (hot!) showers and toilets. The site also has a kitchen area for guests to use which includes everything you might need from plates and utensils to cooking stoves and pans. This site really does have everything, all you need to bring is food/drink and a sense of adventure.
In the local area there are many things on offer. Guests can fish on-site and canoeing is available nearby. The site is a couple of miles from the Weston’s Cider factory for those cider lovers who’d like a tour. White House on Wye Glamping is a short drive from the market towns of Ross-on-Wye and Hereford and there are many country pubs in the surrounding villages.
Single night bookings are available. Costs vary based on season and mid-week or weekend, but the price per night will be between £79 and £129.
