Glamping Hampshire
The unique Watercress Lodges & Campsite in Hampshire is a fantastic new glamping and self-catering holiday retreat overlooking the South Downs, situated only 3 miles from New Alresford and the River Itchen, nestled in the beautiful countryside. Watercress Lodges have the unique privilege of being located alongside Ropley working steam railway. Thomas the Tank Engine weeks are a particular favourite with families. Discount vouchers are available to visit the Watercress Line. You are also able to be collected from Ropley Station do go on the Real Ale Trains (pre booked tickets from (www.watercressline.co.uk)
SAFARI TENTS
Available from May two luxurious safari tents named Annie and Clarebel. Nestling will be nestling into gorgeous Hampshire countryside. It is an opportunity to camp amongst nature without sacrificing home comforts. It is the best of both worlds and opportunity to fall in love with the great outdoors once more.
Our tents have an open plan layout with plush furnishings including
- King size bed
- Wood burning stove, which doubles up as an oven
- Sofa bed
The internal space measures 4 x 5.4 metres and is erected on raised wooden platforms which insulate the tents from the ground. The external and internal canvas/linings are fire retardant to British Safety Standards.
To the front of the tent is the veranda with
- Barbeque
- Gas hob
- Fridge
- Ice tray
- Food preparation area
The outdoor seating is perfect for al fresco dining (the washing up area is also close by).
Should you wish for extra room, a Tipi tent can be hired.
Provided for your stay is a basket of logs but more can be purchased from reception so you do not have to worry about being cold.

Example Lodge –
The newly built self-catering accommodation is modern but comfortably furnished throughout. On the ground floor, spacious hallway leading off is, kitchen fitted with all modern appliances, granite worktops, dishwasher, and fridge freezer, and oven, hob with extractor fan, microwave, kettle & toaster. Separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board and downstairs WC.
Bright and airy lounge with modern dining table and six chairs. Leather sofa bed which sleeps 2, two armchairs, coffee table, flat screen TV with Freeview & assortment of board games. Lounge doors open up to allow the countryside in. The garden overlooks the historical Watercress Line. Bench seating with seat cushions provided and separate gas BBQ is available on request for all lodges.
The spacious master bedroom has a king-size oak bed, side tables, chest of drawers, fitted wardrobe, full length mirror, hairdryer. Bedroom two has two twin 3ft oak beds, side tables and a chest of drawers. The bathroom is fitted to a high specification with sink, mirror above with light and shaver point, toilet, cupboard for storage and freestanding shower.

Campground is available, the ideal getaway for families, with newly built shower block and toilet facilities
